We had a dream… It was opening a small restaurant in the south of Turkey, in a small town at the seaside. We both enjoy cooking so much that we shared the same dream as well. However the wind flew us to other side of the World; to Phuket, Thailand. So our fate was cooking for people here on this beautiful island. Our customers are usually expats, travelers and adventurous good food seekers.
We both spent our life in the kitchen or by doing jobs related to that. “Aysel has been cooking all her life and carrying the flag that she got from her ancestors. Engin worked as a chef for many years. He was the executive chef in Hilton Hotels in Turkey for about 25 years. Then he was the general manager in number of hotels last 20 years. Then he went back to his real passion; cooking.” Turkish food is not only kebab that you see spinning everywhere. We feel responsible of introducing real, authentic and the most delicious dishes from Turkish cuisine.
This is not just a job for us. Cooking is our passion, we love creating delicious dishes. The best part of it is seeing people leaving our restaurant happy. We have a saying in Turkey; “We never let anybody leave hungry.” What we say is “We never let anybody leave unsatisfied.”
They say we are warm and friendly. We like meeting new people and we enjoy their company. We love making them happy and when we see them happy, we are the happiest. Thailand is “The Land of Smile” and we love being a part of it.
